Use in road building and civil engineering

Our granite is a highly suitable base material for the construction of roads, paths and channels. For these purposes the following products are used:

• Quarry waste as fill material for road bases.
• Fill material/ base rock as stable ballast with good even granular structure for road bases.
• Blasting rock as fill material for non-supporting and wet road bases, pipe sand as fill material for pipe covering during associated road, housing and commercial building construction as well as for construction/development of residential and commercial areas.
• Filter and drainage gravel as aggregate material customised for your individual requirements associated with the construction of roads, housing and commercial buildings.
• Frost protection and crushed stone bases of various granulation sizes without cementing agent for roads of construction classes SV to VI in accordance with ZTVT-StB 95/98 as well as the requirements of RG Min- StB 93 and the TL Min-StB 2000.
• Natural stone mineral mixes of various granulation sizes for the construction of paths, channels and pavings; they also meet the requirements RG MinStB 93, TL Min-StB 2000 and DIN 18318. These products are also used specifically for the construction of paths as water-bound top layers.
• Sub-base aggregate / boulders / base rock for ground stabilisation and reinforcement of construction roads.

All granite road metal and materials from our own production conforms to CE quality standards. All materials achieve an average polished stone value (PSV) of 55 - blow counts between 13.5 and 16.5.

We refine the natural characteristics of the material with various processes into high quality products. Continuous internal and external testing ensures that these products always meet the highest requirements.

Independent institutes such as the Technische Universität (TUM) MPA Bau in Munich or the LGA Bautechnik GmbH in Nuremberg conduct regular checks for ongoing quality assurance. Test certificates for our materials are available on request.
